​My name is Tissan Kentrell Young, and I am a rising senior English major at Morehouse College from Rogers, AR. My passion comes in the form of writing stories through any medium I see fit. Once I’m finished with school, I want to become an author/screenwriter. I want the stories I write to be emblematic of the unique experiences people of color can have in life, and I want to show the creative potential we have when it comes to filmmaking and storytelling overall. The Nate Parker Foundation is just one of those ways for me and others like me to express that creativity, and I couldn’t be happier for it.
